North Penn High School Safe Schools Committee

This committee, comprised of school officials, educators, and administrators, along with law enforcement officers meets to develop ways to prevent drug and alcohol abuse among students. Dave contributes his expertise to assist in that effort.

 

Montgomery County Special Court Judges Association

President, January 2002 through January 2003 and June 2005 through June 2006.

 

Montgomery Township Park and Recreation Board

Appointed to the Board in October 2001, and resigned on January 12, 2009. Position involves evaluating existing park facilities and recommending improvements to the Board of Supervisors. Dave co-founded the Montgomery Township Golf League.

 

North Penn High School Mock Trial Program

Attorney Coach from 2004 – 2005. Dave was chosen to coach North Penn students in this mock trial competition. He has served as Attorney Coach in preparation for, and trial of, the case involved. When not coaching, he served as a judge and a juror in this program.

 

Citizens’ Police Academy

Dave has hosted and instructed the attendees on different aspects of the court system.

 

Montgomery Township Baseball and Softball Association

Dave managed and/or coached spring and fall baseball teams for kids from ages 8 – 16. Additionally, he assisted with scorekeeping and coaching in the Connie Mack Division.

 

Hatfield Area Little League

Team Manager 1994, 1996, 1997, and 1998 seasons; Assistant Coach, 1995, 1999, 2000.

Vice President, October 1995 – October 1996. Director, December 1994 – October 1996.

 

Montgomery Bar Association

Organized, moderated, and instructed at a Continuing Legal Education course for lawyers on District Justice Practice. Panelist in Seminar: Appearing before a District Justice.

 

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church

Member, Publicity Committee, December 1996 – present. Accomplishments include developing the use of electronic media in conducting the church’s business, and developing a theme for a series of articles on the preparations for services entitled The Making of Sunday Morning.

 

Montgomery County Commission on Women and Families

Domestic Violence Sub-Committee. Provided practical and legal expertise in the drafting of the Committee’s Best of the Best model Domestic Violence policy.

 

North Penn Chamber of Commerce Law Enforcement

Man of the Year for 1993. Award presented May 1994.
